Technical Product Manager (H/F)

The mission

The Technical Product Manager position is an operational role that enables the delivery of a product’s strategy defined in collaboration with the Chief Product Officer and the founders. It includes pre-sales, support and product marketing activities which are a pre-requisite to defining solutions and features in line with the business objectives, and deemed to resolve a user’s problem. The product design phase is performed as per Scrum’s Product Owner best practices, including user stories description, mockup designs when necessary, and backlog grooming. The position collaborates and communicates tightly with the product development team to assess and trade-off technical feasibility, track and report on roadmap progress.
The position reports to the Chief Product Officer.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

-Product Pre-sales

-Customer onboarding and support

-Product Ownership, including:

  • Collaboration to building a realistic quarterly roadmap;
  • User stories writing;
  • Mockups design;
  • Backlog grooming;
  • User documentation writing and maintaining.

-Product marketing, including, but not limited to:

  • collaboration to building positioning statements and other marketing messages;
  • blog articles/content writing;
  • demos during conferences;
  • social media presence;

-Collaboration to managing relationship with technical and strategical partners

In general, you are always ready to help and share your knowledge, especially during our internal training sessions of SensioLabs University where we improve our skills about web technologies and Symfony2 in particular.

DEVOPS

Your Mission

The Blackfire.io team is looking for a DevOps “Robin” to sidekick the “Batman” we have working from his cave in the UK. Ideally, Robin should be located in Latin America, which would enable the duo to own the night (and the day) at any time on the planet.

We’re an international distributed team, in a challenging environment which relies on multiple technologies to offer high availability Software as a Service all around the world. A part of this team, under the supervision of our Senior DevOps, you will actively work on system operations and automated deployments, as well as participate in product development and support.

More specifically, you will:

  • Participate in the administration of the Blackfire products and websites (availability, monitoring, deployment, performance, security);
  • Participate in the product development and maintenance;
  • Participate in technical support to end users;

Your expertise in Linux environments and knowledge of DevOps best practices will enable you to make recommendations and continuously improve processes and tooling. Batclaws and Batarangs are unfortunately not in the scope.

Your profile

  • You should justify of at least 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar job, in a start-up, enterprise or hosting company operating high-traffic websites or web platforms.
  • You master: Amazon Web Services (ec2, s3, cloudfront, RDS, route53), Linux, Chef or Ansible, Nginx, Postgresql, LXC, Git.
  • You can write bash, Ruby and Python scripts.
  • You have fair knowledge of PHP, Go, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, Varnish, Kubernetes or another Docker orchestration tool.
  • Your English is fluent, other languages are a bonus.

Technical Web Architect

Job description

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, along with major web actors, you will conduct web expertise missions like:

  • Software and Technical Architecture;
  • Performance audit, security;
  • Technical coaching, team’s skill improvement and compliance with best practices;
  • Technical development for integration of complex functions in client projects.

Your profile

With an engineer background, you have at least 5 years experience in Open Source websites development in an IT company or agency, and already have:

  • Coached or managed a developer team
  • Developed technical expertise in architectural design or application consulting

Passionate about innovative new technologies, you’re familiar with LAMP architecture.

Dynamic, rigorous and with good writing skills, you know how to build sustainable and effective technical choices and how to justify them to our customers.

You’re close to your colleagues and have a big sense of humor
